Kim Basinger is always easy and enjoyable to watch. What a thrill it would be to play in a production she was involved in. Don't understand the negative comments. I sought to be entertained and I was....questions about the ending. Did the screenwriter get lazy and quit writing? Lots of opportunity here to make a statement about domestic violence or how families are under the stress and pressure of the economic times we are in. Finally, there could have been a statement of redemption if Kim's character had followed through with the cops to teach her kids responsibility about belonging to a community.
