Well, I heard that too about making the second installment of Dragonball, I hope they will make this seond DB movie better than the first one. Finger cross.

I can but agree with your movie review of Dragonball Evolution: I saw it last week while in a trip to Japan and, even if I didn’t expect much, it was such a disappointment for me too! I should have waited for the film to run on some cable channel. I feel like I wasted both money and time with this low-grade flick.

I heard they’re planning Dragonball 2, well I hope it will be better than this first DB failure.

James Wong is only good at directing the Final Destination series, I love all his Final Destination series, not doubt about that. But this Dragonball Evolution, eek… “Evolution” I don’t know what “Evolution” mean in this film. Maybe they just added this term to get people excited. This cartoon-to-live-action adaptation is a disaster and a real disappointment.

Talk about the cast, well I agree with Fox to cast Emmy Rossum to play Bulma, I know some people will not agree with me, but I think she plays that well. Emma got some pretty unic and she totally talented actress out there. The first scene when Bulma(Emmy Rossum) meet Goku(Justin Chatwin), I though she was good, but a little bit… not Bulma in Dragonball character. I’m a bit disappointed that Goku isn’t Goku at all and the film so far, it’s not like the manga at all.

The CG in DragonBall Evolution, well at leats this was good. The whole idea was brilliant only when Goku (Justin Chatwin) is battling with Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and his energy flow inadvertently target Bulma (Emmy Rossum). The punch that Goku makes (try to make like TV/manga/anime) well it just rubbish. Hate that scene. The martial arts choreography is a little disappointing to me.

This whole movie should get a new title because even if it goes by the current DragonBall title, plot and character name have nothing similar with the Dragonball anime or cartoon.
