no no no no....they are mangling it all over again. there isn't any need to present anyone's version of Conan except his original creators, and he was not a psychopathic violent tool. agree completely with chris. they are gutting this character for a quick one off and this will end the brand in this medium, just like conan the destroyer did. at least milius film like it or hate it, was decently written even if they too missed a lot about what Conan was.

this pastiche nonsense needs to end- nobody goes to alaska to eat ny pizza so why would we see this movie that does not present real Conan?

You'd be better off condensing the first couple of books into the move. There's a reason why the Conan series has been popular for the last 60 or 70 years. A word of caution.....

DO NOT pump out a bunch of cheesey characters in gold-plated costumes, throwing around elaborate weapons, and doing a bunch of needless, silly stunts. These characters are direct, self centered, cynics, who are out for themselves.

CGI is in the planning, I assume. Do it right, but no more than is necessary. You didn't have wizards slinging around fireballs and lightning bolts in these books. Everything was much darker and much more subtle.

We wish you would stick to the books, but it's probably too late for that. However you probably should remember that LOR did just that and their 9+ hour epic was an international blockbuster.

You've got the characters, and the plots for a similar success if you stick to the books, not some cheesey script that was produced by some clown who doesn't know the first thing about weapons, armor, roughing it, or scrapping it out with someone.

Just a thought.
