Director Mira Nair has tackled the movie adaptation of American Aviation pioneer Amelia Mary Earhart’s life. The film chronicles Earhart’s rise to fame and follows her rocky relationship with her husband George Putnam. Hilary Swank got the lead role as Amelia Earhart and Richard Gere plays the role of Amelia’s husband. The movie Amelia will be released on October 23, 2009. Plot:
“A look at the life of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world.”

Aviator Amelia Earhart made history in 1932 by becoming the first woman ever to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Sadly, five years later, as Earhart attempted to fly around the world, the pilot and her plane simply vanished after crashing into the Pacific Ocean…
