A new trailer of Avatar, the new upcoming 3D epic sci-fi movie directed by James Cameron, is currently shown in theaters. And thanks to some fellow moviegoer we may have a look online with this bootleg trailer of Avatar that just leaked online: Continue Reading »
I’d be glad to ride that insectoid horse! I guess many people will be attracted by the quixotic beauty of Pandora and will be dreaming about the movie Avatar!

Here’s a first look at the are the unobtainium, the mineral mankind is looking for on the planet Pandora in the movie Avatar directed by James Cameron:
Unobtainium allows superconductivity any loss at room temperature. Superconductivity means that electricity can flow through this material without resistance, no resistance means not loss, so the system becomes ultra efficient: that’s what our grid needs!
Scientists can recreate superconductivity at very low temperatures, but that’s not worth it so far because too much it requires energy is put to reach those low temperatures. At least for now, Superconductivity at room temperature is like a Holy Grail. So you bet that if we were to find a material allowing superconductivity at room temperature we would rush to mine it, even if we would have to get rid of a few aggressive stingy local aliens.
;-P
The movie trailer of Avatar has been released online in glorious HD, enjoy below:
AVATAR MOVIE TRAILER
I’m quite impressed by this Avatar movie trailer of Avatar. I wish I had my own avatar to be able to wander on the surface of the planet Pandora like Jack Sully (Sam Worthington).

I feel like a little boy in front of James Cameron’s Avatar movie: I’m ready to be amazed by the incredible world seen in Avatar the movie!

A new series of pictures of Avatar, James Cameron’s latest sci-fi movie, have been unveiled just to tease us all before the official release of the Avatar movie trailer which will happen in less than 8 hours from now:
Plot:
“A paraplegic ex-marine war veteran (Sam Worthington) is unwillingly sent to establish a human settlement on the distant planet of Pandora, only to find himself battling humankind alongside the planet’s indigenous Na’vi race in this ambitious, digital 3-D sci-fi epic from Academy Award-winning Titanic director James Cameron.”
Those flying machines from the movie Avatar look like fat bumblebees.
:)
On August 21, the world will get its first look at director James Cameron’s motion picture epic AVATAR, when Twentieth Century Fox and Cameron debut the film’s trailer everywhere – while select cinemas and IMAX theaters will screen extended footage prepared by the renowned filmmaker for this global “Avatar Day” event.
The picture above has been released just to tease us for the event. Behind Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) we may see a vat containing his avatar: Jake Sully’s human body is stuck in a wheelchair, but his spirit will be somehow connected to the alien body in the vat before it is sent to the planet Pandora’s surface.

Soldiers have their own version of the big toy above:
If there is a scene with Human soldiers attacking the Na’vi from their helicopters, I’d say the scene would have been influenced by two cult movies:
Full Metal Jacket
Apocalypse Now – Ride of the Valkyries
I wonder if the Human soldiers will play the Ride of the Valkyries to scare off the aliens in the movie Avatar. I guess the Ride would be damn frightening for aliens’ ears! Also wondering about the color of a Navi’s blood… Is it blue?
:)
Plot:
“The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully, is an ex-Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. In order to participate in the Avatar program, which will give him a healthy body, Jake agrees to travel to Pandora, a lush rainforest environment filled with incredible life forms – some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also the home to the Na’vi, a humanoid race that lives at what we consider to be a primate level, but they are actually much more evolved than humans. Ten feet tall and blue skinned, the Na’vi live harmoniously within their unspoiled world. But as humans encroach on Pandora in search of valuable minerals, Unobtanium, the Na’vi’s very existence is threatened – and their warrior abilities unleashed.
Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this encroachment. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. The Avatars are living, breathing bodies in the real world, controlled by a human driver through a technology that links the driver’s mind to the Avatar body. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake can be whole once again. Moreover, he falls in love with a young Na’vi woman, Neytiri, whose beauty is matched by her ferocity in battle.
As Jake slides deeper into becoming one of her clan, he finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth, and the Na’vi – forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of an entire world.”
Jake is kind of betraying his own race by siding with the Na’vi… Shouldn’t he think about mankind first? Well, better not to think too much about this, and let’s just enjoy the movie Avatar when it comes out!
:)
Director James Cameron has been relatively secretive with his latest movie Avatar. But it looks like FOX is gonna beat the drums during the upcoming San Diego Comic Con (which is just 3 weeks ahead). A poster of Avatar, featuring the face of a Na’vi has already been spotted in the streets of San Diego:
Plot:
“Avatar is set during the 22nd century on a small moon called Pandora, which orbits a gas giant, and is inhabited by the tribal Na’vi, ten foot blue humanoids that are peaceful unless attacked. Humans cannot breathe Pandoran air, so they genetically engineer human/Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars that can be controlled via a mental link. A paralyzed Marine named Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) volunteers to exist as an Avatar on Pandora, falling in love with a Na’vi princess and becoming caught up in the conflict between her people and the human military that is consuming their world.”
I hope that the movie trailer of Avatar will finally be shown during this Comic Con.
