GI Joe is the upcoming movie adaptation of the famous Hasbro figurine universe. The movie is directed by Stephen Sommers.

We already had pictures of Snake-Eyes and Scarlett O’Hara. But yesterday more pictures surfaced on the web.

Those promo pictures of GI Joe feature almost the whole GI Joe team:

The cast seems not too bad. But their battledresses do not look as real as what I may remember from the Hasbro action figurines or from the anime comic series.

A GI Joe picture of Scarlett Ohara has been unveiled. But first who is Scarlett?

“She was the first female action figure in the G.I. Joe toy line and is also the only member of the original team to see much action in both cartoon and comic incarnations. The official line on Scarlett is that her full name is Shana M. O’Hara. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. GI Joe is fighting a terrorist organization called Cobra.

Normaly the leader of this evil organization is a Scot. But well, I dream of a cinema industry less politically correct and more involved in what matters (like in the 1940′s during WWII).

I would prefer to see GI Joe fighting the ugly garbage bin:
