A new trailer for Helix, the new thriller science-fiction TV show produced by Ron Moore that’s set to air on SyFy:

Plot:
“A team of scientists is sent to investigate a mysterious disease outbreak at an Arctic research facility, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation…”

Those eyes in the air vent remind me of the crazy Once-Ler in the Lorax movie, LoL:

Helix is set to debut sometime in 2014.

A team of scientists working in secret are about to change the world… or end it…

Summary:
“Helix is an intense thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. ”

The title of the series obviously refers to the double helix structure of DNA. Now, where does the DNA causing the disease comes from? Is it the result of genetic engineering or did they stumble upon alien DNA?

The TV series Helix should premiere on SyFy sometimes in 2014.
