Princess Rapunzel is no little princess: she’s got a real personality which will make for an interesting character! I’m confident that the movie Tangled will be a hit!

Expect adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair, when Rapunzel unleashes her locks in theaters for the 2010 holiday.”

Actress Mandy Moore who’s lending her voice to Rapunzel said about her character:

“Rapunzel is sort of the quintessential sassy, feisty Disney heroine. She’s quite modern, quite a curious girl as well. She’s just coming into her own and is anxious to figure out a way to see the world around her that she’s been kept away from for so many years.”

The movie Rapunzel was first directed by Glen Keane and it was titled Rapunzel Unbraided: Rapunzel was kind of looking like Barby in this version. But the project has since been revamped and it is now directed by Byron Howard and Nathan Greno: Rapunzel looks somewha more natural (picture above). But I don’t think she is that much different from Glen Keane’s Rapunzel, here’s an early clip of Rapunzel (the unbraided version):

Walt Disney’s animated movie Rapunzel is directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard. The film is scheduled for a release on December 24, 2010. So I already know what Christmas movie I’ll go watch next year.
