Plot:
“Theo, a.k.a Turbo, is a garden snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagne. His obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his careful older brother, Chet. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he’s living. As luck would have it, he gets that chance one fateful day after a freak accident transform him into a super snail.”

The movie Turbo is directed by David Soren. Turbo is voiced by Ryan Reynolds.

Release date: July 17, 2013.

We’ve got our hands on the first official movie trailer of Turbo, the upcoming family animated movie directed by David Soren for Dreamworks Animation:

Plot:
“From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, Turbo is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail who kicks into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed. But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500.”

That funny snail still needs some training!

The voice cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzman, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. Jackson. The release date of Turbo is set for July 19, 2013.

Heard that Dreamworks hired IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti as consultant to increase the authenticity of the racing environment! But well it’s still a movie about a snail…
