The full cast list of the Twilight Saga New Moon, aka twilight 2, has been announced by Summit Entertainment. We knew already for Dakota fanning as Jane and Michael Sheen as Aro. But the final cast of New Moon is still including some new actors: Daniel Cudmore as Felix, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Charlie Bewley as Demetri, Cameron Bright as Alec, and Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater.

Let’s learn more about their roles in the movie New Moon:

Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater Harry Clearwater was a tribal elder of the Quileute tribe, and father of Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater. He was also a close friend of Charlie Swan’s and the two of them shared a love of fishing. Harry was happily married to Sue Clearwater until he died of heart attack during New Moon.

Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus Marcus is one of three vampires in Italy who live what Edward described as a very civilized and educated lifestyle. Carlisle found them while on his own search for the truth behind his nature. The Italian vampires tried to cure Carlisle of “his aversion to his natural food source,” but they failed. Their likeness was depicted in several painting by Solimena.

Daniel Cudmore as Felix Felix is one of the guards of the Volturi. He is a violent person who is very strict and enjoys serving out punishment to people who disobey the Volturi laws – during New Moon, he is one of the members of the guard who attempts to kill Edward Cullen for the crime of exposing the vampire race (a crime which he found was not committed).

Cameron Bright as Alec Alec is a member of the Volturi and is one of the highest ranked guards. He has a sister named Jane (played by Dakota Fanning). Alec has an extremely powerful gift which is equally powerful as his twin Jane’s. He has the ability to cut off a person’s senses. He can make them blind, deaf, and numb to any feeling if he wishes to. When he uses his gift, it appears in the form of a clear hazy mist.

Charlie Bewley as Demetri Demetri is a member of the Volturi Guard. His special ability is Tracking. He catches the “tenor” of a person’s thoughts, and is drawn to it. It is believed that he would not be able to track Bella, because she is protected from mind-based abilities.

Michael Sheen, best known for playing the role of Lucian the werewolf (actually a lycan) in the Underworld movie series, has been officially confirmed in the cast of in the upcoming movie Twilight 2, aka New Moon. But this time he is going to play the role of a vampire as Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi.

Aro is one of three vampires who lead the Volturi. He is widely accepted as the overall leader of the Volturi. Aro is blessed with superhuman strength and speed, and has vastly enhanced senses. He also possesses the supernatural ability to read minds; his ability is far more powerful than even Edward Cullens’, as he is capable of hearing every thought a person has ever had. However, he requires physical contact to use this ability, and cannot read minds from a distance.

Summit Entertainment and Director Chris Weitz said that they had to chase Michael Sheen for him to sign on as Aro. Chris Weitz is quite glad to get this actor on board the New Moon movie, and highlights the importance of Sheen’s role:

So let’s hope that this actor will be really committed to the success of the Twilight Saga New Moon beyond his paycheck… I mean, Michael Sheen is a star but he has to show respect and modesty in front of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. I suppose that Chris Weitz wants Michael Sheen in the cast in order the movie New Moon to appeal to a larger public.

Twilight 2 Plot – New Moon Synopsis:
“After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.”

It’s impressive how much Taylor Lautner bulk up to be fit for the role of Jacob Black the werewolf in the movie twilight 2!

But muscles won’t be enough for him to steal the show from Robert Pattinson who plays the role of Edward the romantic vampire. Even if Edward will have less screen time in the movie New Moon, I bet the scenes he will have will be much more significant than Jacob’s scenes!

beyond the cat fight over Robert Pattinson vs Taylor Lautner, I think that Peter Facinelli who portrays Dr. Carlisle Cullen is a really good fit for his role! I’d vote for him to have his own spin-off twilight movie.

Summit Entertainment and Director Chris Weitz are trying to bring some Native American blood to the Twilight Saga movie series in order to stick closer to Stephenie Meyer’s books. The cast of the wolf pack for the upcoming Twilight New Moon movie has been announced: Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman. All with some American Indian ancestors.

Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast and will play the Volturi Jane in the Twilight Saga New Moon. The rumor was online since a long, but nice to have an official confirmation from Summit Entertainment.

In the universe of Twilight, the Volturi are like law enforcers among the Vampires: they are much respected, end even feared because of their mind control tricks

So Dakota Fanning will play the role of Jane, one of the prize members of the Volturi Guard and one of their highest ranking guards, a sadistic person and a pet of Aro a former Volturi leader. She seems rather bitter and easily justifies inflicting pain on anyone with her power. Jane has a twin brother named Alec and they both reside in Volterra, Italy.

Good that they chose Dakota Fanning: I think that this young-but-well-experienced actress is a nice addition to the cast of this New Moon movie.

The first Twilight movie may have been a low-budget adaptation, but the new film will get more financial support: Summit Entertainment is indeed allocating more cash to the production of this Twilight sequel following the box-office success of the first film. The production team will even be able to shoot a few scenes of the movie New Moon in Italy, in Europe. We’ve got confirmation thanks to Italian movie site Bataste:

I bet many fans of Twilight will claim to be Italian just to be entitled to enlist in this contest!

I hope that this is not just a move for the production team to have some holiday abroad, and that they will really shoot some nice scenes of New Moon in Volterra: the old city looks quite beautiful.

Twilight 2, the New Moon movie so many fans are waiting for, finally gets its official title: it will be The Twilight Saga New Moon.

The book was just titled New Moon, but Summit Entertainment wants everyone to be able to make the link with the previous Twilight movie even if they didn’t read Stepehenie Meyer’s novel. Hence this new official title on which both hardcore fans and newcomers will agree I am sure.

Team Jacob must be happy: Taylor Lautner has been confirmed in his role as Jacob Black in the movie New Moon.

The news of Taylor being replaced by Michael Copon caused such an uproar that Summit Entertainment prefers to play it safe and switch back to Taylor who originally played the role of Jacob, Bella’s friend in the movie Twilight.

But Taylor will have to work out his body for New Moon: in New Moon Jacob is supposed to be much taller and stronger, he is becoming a werewolf after all. So Taylor Lautner will not have a rest for a while!
