Trailer of How I Live Now starring Saoirse Ronan

Let’s watch the official movie trailer of How I Live Now, the upcoming drama movie directed by Kevin Macdonald and starring Saoirse Ronan:

HOW I LIVE NOW
Plot
“An American girl (Saoirse Ronan) on holiday in the English countryside with her family finds herself in hiding and fighting for her survival as war breaks out.”

Britain got nuclear weapons, probably enough to transform a continent in smoldering ruins. No country would be foolish enough to dare invade the UK…

Anyway, How Live Now does look like an interesting movie, and it’s starring Saoirse Ronan, so I can but give it a try!

The film is based on the 2004 novel of same name written by Meg Rosoff. It will hit UK theaters on October 4, 2013.

On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers (Josh Brolin), a man both intimidating and clearly in need of help, who convinces them to take him into their home and later is revealed to be an escaped convict. The events of this long Labor Day weekend will shape them for the rest of their lives.”

Kate Winslet looks totally lost on that picture, she’s really into her character. What a great actress!

The Monuments Men Movie Trailer

THE MONUMENTS MEN

8 unlikely heroes will save History!

Based on true story.

Plot:
“Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, The Monuments Men is an action-thriller focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners. It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell, how could these guys – seven museum directors, curators, and art historians, all more familiar with Michelangelo than the M-1 – possibly hope to succeed? But as the Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind’s greatest achievements.”

An inspiring movie about a team of funny chaps ready to risk their life for the better good of mankind: you can sign me up for The Monuments Men! And last but not least, one cannot resist George Clooney’s narration!
