Don’t know if that silver car is an autobot or else, but new information should emerge online soon. Meanwhile, two new pictures showing the autobots Bummblebee, Optimus Prime and Rachet: Continue Reading »
Director Pete Travis has been hired to helm the new Judge Dredd movie we talked about a few months ago. The film is not a remake based on Sylvester Stallone’s Judge Dredd, but rather a reboot that will be more faithful to the original comic book. I’ve heard that this reboot Judge Dredd movie will be in 3D. There’s no official release date. But since they now have enough financing, it should enter production quite soon.
John Wagner, the creator of Judge Dredd, is quite enthusiast about this new Judge Dredd movie:
“I have read the script (by Alex Garland) and seen Jock’s visual. While I can’t go into detail about the content I can say that it’s high-octane, edge of the seat stuff, and gives a far truer representation of Dredd than the first movie.”
Comics Writer John Wagner
Who do you want for the lead role as Judge Dredd?
Here’s a first look at Jason Momoa as Conan in the upcoming Conan movie directed by Marcus Nispel:
CONAN THE BARBARIAN(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
I can recognize Jason Momoa, the guy from
Stargate Atlantis, on those pictures, but I don’t really see Conan yet… It’s going to be hard for Jason Momoa to eclipse Schwarzenegger’s Conan…

We’ve got our hands on the cover of the soundtrack of Twilight Eclipse:

You may already pre-order the soundtrack of Eclipse, but it will released on June 8, 2010.
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting we may take a look to the first pictures of The Last Exorcism (previously titled Cotton), an upcoming horror movie directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Patrick Fabian, Ashley Bell, and Louis Herthum:
Last Exorcism Movie(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
“After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian) invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl (Ashley Bell) brings him face to face with the devil himself.”
I think The Last Exorcism movie will be some combination of Paranormal Activity and The Exorcist: well, a damn scary movie!
The Last Exorcism will be released on August 27, 2010.
Here’s the final trailer of Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood:
Robin Hood Final Trailer
Early reviews of Robin Hood aren’t that great, but I still want to give it a try.
A few spy pictures from the set of the upcoming Green Lantern movie have shown up online:
Green Lantern Movie(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
One may recognize Peter Sarsgaard as the villainous Hector Hammond (who’s probably the main villain of this first Green lantern movie, they probably keep Sinestro for Green Lantern 2
), Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan aka the Green Lantern, and the ring of the Green Lantern.
We’ve got our hands on a few new pictures of the Last Airbender, the upcoming epic fantasy movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan:Last Airbender Trailer(Click on a picture to enlarge it.)
The Last Airbender movie will be released on July 2, 2010. The film will be available in 3D.
A new picture of Matt Reeves’ Let Me In, the upcoming remake of Let The Right One In:

The movie Let Me In is starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, and Richard Jenkins.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer gave an update regarding the movie Bad Boys 3:
Bad Boys 3 Trailer
“It’s a wish and a hope and a dream. We’ve been working on a screenplay, which is excellent. It’s an idea Will gave us, so hopefully, it will come to fruition, we would love it to.”
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer
Interesting to learn that Will Smith suggested his idea for the script of Bad Boys 3: this means he’s probably pushing for the film to be done, so there is hope indeed!
The mandarin is the most likely villain in the movie Iron Man 3, even Jon Favreau kind of agrees with that:
Iron Man 3 Movie Villain
“You’ve got to do the Mandarin. The problem with the Mandarin is that the way it’s depicted in the comic books, you don’t want to see that. He has 10 magical rings — that just doesn’t feel right for our franchise. So it’s either tech-based, or the rings are not really rings. But maybe with ‘Thor’ and all those others, you’ll introduce magic to that world and it won’t seem so out of place.”
Director Jon Favreau
I’m all for the Mandarin as long as they respect the source material: in the comic books the Mandarin is a Chinese guy, not a terrorist from Afghanistan. I don’t know who could play as the Mandarin though… Maybe Jet Li? What do you think? Who would you suggest for the role of the Mandarin in Iron Man 3?
