So Netflix just released Cloverfield 3 earlier this week. But there’s already another Cloverfield movie ahead of us. The new film is titled Overlord and will be released in theaters. Director Julius Avery was in charge of the project based on a script by Billy Ray, and Mark L. Smith. The cast includes Wyatt Russell, Iain De Caestecker, Pilou Asbæk, Bokeem Woodbine, Jacob Anderson, John Magaro, Jovan Adepo, Marc Rissmann, Éva Magyar, Ben Tavassoli, Dominic Applewhite, Michael Epp, Andy Wareham, Shawn Dixon, Mathilde Ollivier, Matt Lindquist, Mickey Lewis, Ryan Wiseman, Nick Roeten, James Thomas Scott, Peter Dawson, and Shane Buddington:
“On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment.”
Well, doesn’t sound like a direct sequel to Cloverfield 2 and Cloverfield 3… More like a nazisploitation prequel.
Anyway, two pictures from the set:
The release date of the movie Cloverfield Overlord is set to October 26, 2018.
