Creation Trailer

Trailer of CreationA new movie trailer of Creation (they finally keep the same title in the USA), the upcoming biopic of Charles Darwin directed by Jon Amiel and starring Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly, has been released:

CREATION

Plot:
“English naturalist Charles Darwin, the author of The Origin of the Species, struggles to find a balance between his revolutionary theories on evolution and his relationship with his religious wife, whose faith contradicts his work.”

Creation is a beautiful movie about the family life of Charles Darwin, a genius who enlightened the world with the theory of Evolution!

If your mother in law is a creationist bigot, do like me, invite her along to watch this movie: with the help of God who gave us brains (but who unfortunately didn’t turn it on by default), it could open her eyes on the stupidity of creationism…

I understand you’re reviewing this movie, which is fine. That’s your job. But to those who do believe in creationism, calling it stupid is rather stupid of you. It has nothing to do with the movie, more along the lines of just your personal opinion.

Creationism is damned stupid, but it’s hard for religious bigots to understand this I guess. May God help us and open their eyes!

The portrayal of the greatest religious effort providing relief from ultimate accountability is embodied in Darwinism. The juxtaposing of this religious effort with other religions is a valid idea, but choosing only one motif in comparison is unfortunate. There is no great truth here except the truth that we all run from the notion of ultimate accountability. Suggesting that science supports this religion is only a perspective gained by subscribing to the constructs and models of thought that are in alignment with its central thesis. This is a Hollywood conjecture and should be viewed as such, nothing more.

I was just browsing for some new movies to watch, and I’m really troubled that some people still have so much doubt. The bible actually makes it clear, that the existence of god cant be proven.

I couldn’t care less for Darwins personal beliefs, he seems to have been spiritually dead for a long time, and as such he wouldn’t be qualified to speak about spiritual matters.

Keep science separate from spiritual matters. Did the apostles not say it was in humility they preached the gospels, not with big words? For what they preached was against reason, a gospel about a man who died on the cross.

Instead we now have fools, who is trying to prove the existence of god, that earth is in fact only around 8000 years old (or whatever). Little do they know, that its not for them to prove. Stick to what you know! So that you wont lose faith, trying to prove what you can’t prove! And in fact, what is not for you to prove! THIS IS HOLY GROUND, touch it and risk losing your faith, for god wont let himself be proven.

Only god alone knows the day of the son. Or in other words, why do you worry about times and days, which is set by the father? It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”- Hebrews 11:1
