Deadpool Movie

You probably know by now that the Wolverine movie besides centering on the origins of Logan aka Wolverine is actually introducing us to other mutants especially Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.

Deadpool Spin-off Live Action Movie

Deadpool has quite a large following among comic book fans. And the super mutant is likely to get his own movie in a not-so-distant future. The word is that Marvel is definitely thinking about it.
Ryan Reynolds will probably reprise his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, unless he is eventually replaced by stuntman and actor Scot Adkins who was hired to replace Reynolds in the fight scenes.

Deapool
My name is Wade Wilson. I’m a mercenary. And I love what I do!

Deadpool is a crazy mercenary: he is maybe a bit of a villain, but he isn’t evil, he is just cynical and crazy. An explosive combination that makes his character so interesting.

This hypothetical Deapool movie has no script yet though. So what do you think a Deadpool movie should be about? Should the story pick up right after the events described in Wolverine?

He’re Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked version, I snap this picture using my phone..

Oh yeah his mouth was sewed shut but at the end after the credits when the hand was crawling threw the rebel towards his head and put his fingeron his lips and said “Shhhhhhhh” now you can realy say sshhh if your mouth is sewed shut but some how it slip open and now he has a mouth :P.

  2. mercybrown

yeah it should pick up after the movie they should show how he was able to speak again I mean he is the murk with mouth

  3. doomferret

Deadpool isn’t a mutant. The movie takes a lot of liberties with the character, the worst being the eye beams and lack of mouth, but I guess when his head grows back he won’t have those problems.

I’d like to see a DP movie with a lot of cameos from other marvel actors (Toby Maguire, Ben Afleck, etc). Basicly, the comic book is Wilson giving the marvel universe a monthly wedgie, so him running around and messing with other character’s lives would be a must. They should make a passing reference to the 4th wall thing, too, but not wear it out. Example: he has one Ferris Beuler moment when he looks at the camera and asks the audience for advice on how to avoid an explosion before it envelops him.

The plot should run the gambit of DP questioning himself: am I an assassin, merc or hero? It would be a great excuse to have a movie adaptation of Marvel’s Civil War happening in the background whilst he collects information about the identities of super heros that refuse to register. His employer being the American government, and his rival Captain America. Task Master (the Udon style costume) must make an apperance. The end could go either way– DP looses the fight to Captain America in a funny way, or he changes his mind and joins him to fight ‘ole Tasky in the end. Either way, I’d be happy.

Personally, I think that they should just ditch the whole Wolverine Movie’s Deadpool and start fresh. They already upset alot of fanboys with the “adjustments”.

I say, create Deadpool from the begining. Wade gets cancer, blah blah blah, skip ahead, THEN he wakes up, sees hes a total mess, and swears revenge. In the process, though, he finds that his abilities are needed elsewhere and he faces the dreaded Cable (Ooooh)!

*SPOILER* they cant pick up where the xmen origins movie left off because dead pool got beheaded

    • admin

@michael: actually they can pick from there because Deadpool got an incredible healing factor. He was beheaded:

His healing ability allows him to stitch back head and body together.

And there is this after-credit scene that will lift any remaining doubt:

Deadpool is well alive, therefore a spin-off movie is possible.
      :)

You do know deadpool had wolverines DNA so it doesn’t matter if be got beheaded.. He can regenerate

I quote it at 100%! This would be perfect.
But Deadpool MUST wear his CLASSIC costume! No ADAPTATION!
    Something like that…

    Messiah!

ok but i really couldn’t see it all that well but in the ending thing you guys have shown, did it look like he had a mouth? maybe it’s just me but it looked like he had one… long live deadpool!

I think the Deadpool movie would really make an impact if they use Ryan’s Reynolds sense of humour that came through so well in x-men origins. The x-men movie was good, but could have used some bits in the end to leave ‘the best for last’ effects, plus some humour to spice it up. The Deadpool movie should definitely start with the origin of how wade becomes deadpool and maybe include a snippet on how wolverine is involved in a minor way. Too much of that super power show is also not a good idea…they should keep the character vulnerable in some way or the audience is not going to buy it. It should be a healthy mix of fun and brawn and some romance perhaps. That’ll make a good entertainer.

  10. Bob

I don’t know if any of you guys stayed till the end of the credits but deadpool’s head is still alive.

  11. misterjack

If it does have anything to do with the Wolverine movie, they should focus on the time period that was gapped when Wolverine hooks up with Silverfox.
Wilson (possibly with cancer), already with Weapon X, gets his healing ability from a Logan DNA sample after Logan leaves the team in the Wolverine movie, and brings about the collapse of Weapon X. Pissed-off Stryker without the team, sends Wilson to Dr. Killebrew’s prison/experimental facility, “The Workshop,” where he competes in the gladiatorial-like “Dead Pool,” overthrows Killebrew, and takes the name Deadpool. He’s somehow returned to Stryker’s custody awaiting his role in ‘Wolverine’ as Weapon 11. Could even have Gambit at the Workshop, he could escape at the cost of Wilson/Deadpool being subdued.
Should include his love with Death and him trying to die to be with her. He’s 100% apathetic towards people he doesn’t know cause he thinks living is overrated and is jealous that everyone else can die.

  12. No.

Dear filmmakers: Wolverine fouled up the origin of Deadpool, as a result I didn’t pay a single dime to see such atrocity done to my favorite character. You’ve committed the literary equivalent of defamation of character by warping his origin and even worse his representation in your film. As a result, I WILL NOT pay to see another substandard film by 20th Century FOX (star wars, X-Men series, etc.) This is what happens when you flagrantly offend the fanbase with your careless representation of our characters in the interest of your own profit. What’s worse for your situation? I’m not alone in this endeavor.

I think it should start with deadpool doing his job as a mercenary. Watching cartoons. Then having nightmares like wolverine but instead of weapon x he dreams of ponys and wakes up with cable’s gun on his face. Then fights in his apartment escapes and goes on with his job and be like… “who the f…” Along the way he meets Death and falls in love not knowing who she is and trying impress and get her number but she refuses. He then gets to his mission and finds out that he needs to kill a pregnant mother and he again meets Cable and fights him. Still wondering who and why he is sent to kill the woman, another mutant wants to kill Deadpool named Ajax and interferes. Deadpool left and chased Ajax instead due to his anger against him. Followed him back to an different division of Weapon X. Set as a trap by and Dr. Killebrew to take control of Deadpool. Deadpool recalling the past on how he was saved by Killebrew and been used experiments on him and his anger and psycopathic thirst to kill Ajax but still having pony and rainbow nightmares, wakes up and with Death helping him escape and destroys the facility and having heavy fights with Ajax and other new mutants. Fight ends healing and reconstructing his wounds. Deadpool still trying to get his money meets again Cable, not wanting to fight and offered him more money help him kill a much stronger force… something like that…

  14. Stadler Kok

Ok a Deadpool movie would be the greatest thin since sliced bread and cars but did they really have to screw around with the character. First he doesn’t have lasers that shoot out of his eyes and his swords don’t extract from his arms. Personally i would like him to be able to show his face without scaring small kids. Ryan Reynolds is also Van Wilder and this fact wil bring more girls to see the movie but not if he looks like a que-ball. Make the healing factor fix his profile and bring in the part where Death takes affection in him, maybe Tara Reid or Megan Fox can be her. This movie could be better than even Harry Potter. Ofcourse he has to talk. And one more hint, in the bonus games on PS2 in Marvel Ultimate Alliance he gives a sassy version of how he got his powers. Use that and some of his dialog.

  15. thaMC

There are plenty of ways they can side-step the character created at the end of Wolverine. And, I think they will, since Reynolds seems to be so adamant about being faithful. I’m looking forward to this.

  16. lalal55

“Should the story pick up right after the events described in Wolverine?”

IT SHOULD NOT FOR GOD’S SAKE!

It should be totally different: they blew the character in that movie

  17. uss_titans

Just saw X-Men Origin at the dollar movie house…..What a piece of Marvel crapola. Deadpool with ray shooting out of his eyes. And they stich up his mouth( He has the coolest costume). It was as bad as Elektra and DC’s Catwoman. Marvel finnaly flush the X-Men frachise down the toilet with this one.
    I want my dollar back.

  18. Peaches

I would like to know about the DP. How he was with wolverine in the beginning. And how he gets into the costume after he becomes DP. I would love to see a movie about DP.

  19. Brad

    Okay,
So I read the comments and stuff.
Your all going about this wrong.
The movie will be picking up before and after Weapon X.
Ryan Reynolds has already confirmed he is becoming The Green Lantern and DeadPool.
He also said he wouldn’t touch the project unless they were doing source material, and guess what, its SOURCE.
So don’t get your panties in a bunch.
We can all trust that Reynolds will do a good job, for both.
He also said that Classic DeadPool is in, Not Baraka-Pool.

  20. Doug

Ryan Reynolds would make an awesome Deadpool. The movie would be hilarious just as soon as he recovered the use of his mouth. I would probably still see it if he wasn’t Deadpool, but I would be disappointed. I like the sarcastic – witty types.

  21. Facebook User

OK they should sort of pick it up from there. But anyone who has read the comics should know that deadpool did not have any of that krap that put in the end of the wolverine movie. I mean what makes deadpool so bad ass is what he can do with those swords. The way they came out of his hands like in the wolverine movie pissed me and alot of my friends who are huge comic fans off. I mean come on laser eye beams and the teleporting no I don’t think that would work. If they make the deadpool movie and they use all the powers he had at the end of the wolverine movie I think it will fail. I think it would fail hard because none of the deadpool fans would even waste their time to go see it since it’s not even remotely close to what deadpool is.

  22. Nick

I think they should start the movie off showing Deadpool becoming apart of the weapon x project and show his transformation from Wade into Weapon XI/Deadpool.

  23. James

Deadpool actually could teleport although it was not really a power but a piece of equipment he stole from oscorp at least I think it was oscorp but I’m not too sure. Just reminding everyone :). DEADPOOL ROCKS!

  24. marvelfan

Ryan Reynolds is perfect for deadpool. He is the “Merc with the mouth.” But they need to stay true to the comic. Deadpool could teleport due to a device on his chest, not a mutiant power. His healing power was a genetic alteration which they half way got right in the Wolverine movie. His healing abilty is unstable which makes him act crazy. His sanity is always in question. He oftens says he thinks he is in a comic book. Keep it real, no reason to change anything. Also I agree with Nemo, keep the costume. Thats sick. No one needs to see Ryan Reynolds pretty face, just his witty comments. Look at Toby in Spiderman.

  25. Pierce

From what I’ve heard, after the tower collapsed on him in the end of Wolverine, he ended up losing some of those powers due them not all being fully “adapted” to his body. I believe that they were at least planning on going into his past, showing his transformation, and his becoming Deadpool. His mouth split back open after that fall. And if you listen closely, he says “Shhh…”

  26. Matthew

They said that because he got beheaded he lost the laser eyes and such but the main powers stayed, like teleportation, swords, etc. So stop bitching. His mouth did split from the fall, or else he woudn’t have been able to say “Shh…” I hope he gets the Classic DeadPool Costume.
    Long live Deadpool!!!
    Literally.

  27. Rob

Pool has had his head taken off more than once and his other limbs many more time than that… His healing is beyond any other super and can have his head placed back on and be “fine” (he’s insane)
Yes the credits show him alive reaching for his head AND mouth open again but the movie is not to be relating to the Wolverine movie… it’s a reboot semi like The Incredible Hulk to where the other Hulk movie can be ignored… Yes Reynolds is playing the character again but there will be close to no connection in the Deadpool movie to the Wolverine movie (much like they should for the Venom movie w/ Spider-Man3… who knows tho)….

However they make make a reference to the “mistake” they called Deadpool at the end of Wolverine simply for comedy and Deadpool breaking the 4th wall as he would be aware that he’s in the movies…

  28. Riddick

Doomferet they can’t have any cameos from other marvel characters because by making it not have a relation to wolverine which is considered canonical deadpool can’t be in any other superhero films or even be considered a character therefore there are now two deadpool’s wolverine deapdool and this reboot deadpool. And before anyone says your wrong cause they did that with the hulk no your wrong because the hulk was put in the real world not marvel’s world they even changed his orign to be more realistic while the incredible hulk established it’s ties at the end of the film. The new deapdool film is stupid and by making this he cannot be in any other film’s or even be referenced way to go donner!.

  29. Magrundle

Deadpool has been beheaded several times, just recently in the comics he shout himself in the face of sheer boredom. the far fetched part is antemantium coming out his arms and the eye lasers. To make fans happy RR will have to break the fourth wall and be very neurotic and insane.

  30. blind eagle

they keep saying he got beheaded but at the end he came back alive(after the credits) ithink it’ll be cool

  31. dan

I’ve seen this postes several times
“Deadpool isn’t a mutant. The movie takes a lot of liberties with the character, the worst being the eye beams and lack of mouth, but I guess when his head grows back he won’t have those problems.”

Now I agree that many liberties have been taken with the character, but they never specifically said that wade was a mutant. I believe the movie was implying that the weapon-XI program was the source of his regenerative abilities and that the rest of the abilities shown where lost due to a traumatic decapitation before whatever served as the source of those abilties had taken hold. Presumably, he’ll lose the arm swords at some point. if anyone watched to the end of the credits they should have noticed that deadpools mouth was open again already by that point, though his lips where shredded and disfigured. Deadpool also used those last seconds of the movie to break the fourth wall.

I’m not saying that they’ve pegged Deadpool perfectly, but he’s not as lost as people would have me believe.

  32. Rob

Anything that happened in the Wolverine movie counts for nothing into the Deadpool movie. They plan on the movie having little to no connection whatsoever to the Origins film. Just that Ryan Reynolds is reprising the role and now has more creative control of the character.

  33. Gemini

i dont care what anybody thinks. they need to follow the comic books for once. and none of that weapon 11 B.S., that was stupid of the director to do that. hopefully they will think of a way to fix this muffed up version of deadpool to make him how he’s supposed to be.

  34. Rob

Wow… Seriously? How many times have I said it on here now…
It’s gonna be a reboot with no connection to the Wolverine movie except Ryan Reynolds is reprising the role… Costume is confirmed and all.

Zombieland writters doing the screenplay (that’s new, I havent said that)

  35. Crass

First off it sounds like some folks haven’t been paying attention to the Hollywood status quo…that or expect Hollywood just to change for dear ol’ ‘Pool. Are your fingers crossed? Hope so, cause Hollywood will always find some way to screw something up in ANY movie that’s been based on other media. Whether it be your video games, comic books, or even old cartoons/tv shows you watched as kids…if Hollywood made Smurfs the Movie, the Smurfs would end up Green…or Purple, because some Hollywood schmuck would decide that blue is too depressing for viewers…its the way of the world, get used to it or die in frustration.

    But back to Deadpool.
The ‘Wolverine’ incident isn’t as big a hurdle as some of you may think. First, its the Marvel Universe…strange and unexplained things happen all the time. Personally, I wouldn’t do much more than maybe have a character mention the incident:

“Hey ‘Pool! Didn’t you get your mouth fused shut, have some really gay blades added to your arms, and get teleportation and laser eyes? Oh yeah! And didn’t Wolvie kinda cut off your head?”

*Deadpool looks with a blank face*

    “Uh nope, wasn’t me….”

    And you’re done…

The movie itself I would picture being a modern day story, Wade has his powers and the job as a merc with a mouth, and the plot will force him to face elements of his past (All of which viewers would see through flashbacks).

I was wondering if they were going to attempt to show the conversations Wade’s differing personalities tend to have as he gallavants around.

Regardless with Reynolds playing ‘Pool I sincerely doubt they’ll screw it up too badly…not like Ghost Rider. ;)

Oh…and yeah, Wade is not a mutant…he’s a normal joe who was given a derivitive of Wolvie’s healing factor to help him cure his Cancer….so he’s got some mutie in him but isn’t one himself…

  36. Crass

    P.S. Riddick:

They have license to do as they please. If the fans can’t get over what happened in Wolvie: Origins then that is entirely their hang-up. It won’t stop Marvel from referencing or ignoring any parts.

We’re just lucky enough that the leading actor and the screenplay writers have enough comic book geek in them to attempt an honest depiction of what we’ve been reading in our monthlies.

Besides…so long as Mickey…or Goofy…or the Duck Whose Name Shall Not Be Typed…don’t go popping up and they don’t start forcing musical numbers at key points in the film we’re better off than we could be…

I swear if Disney stains Marvel with it’s dirty little fingertips I will see the Magic Kingdom in flames (in my mind)…buy-outs suck

  37. ghosthero0806

first off, i think the movie should start from scratch. no crap about laser eyes and sword claws. breaking the fourth wall should be in there a few times, not too much but enough to make it funny. deadpool is funny, gritty, bad-mouthed, and he makes references from the real world. it would be amazing if he did the same in the movie. he needs to have his swords, his guns, and his knives. and he needs the classic deadpool costume, the spider-man/deathstroke deal. and his face must be nasty. he has a mouth, eyes, and whats left of a nose. scars, upraised marks, recessed ears, no eyebrows, that is deadpool. he is no lady-killer(figuratively, of course he can kill ladies if he wants) but deadpool must be deadpool. no ifs ands or buts.

  38. Gas

I’ve noticed that most of the previous comments are from a while back, but still would like to throw a theory out there. At the end of the new(er) Avengers movie, they reveal that Thanos will be the next movie villain for the next Big Multi Character Movie. Going through the whole romantically involved with death thing, it could be possible for , after a Deadpool movie, for Deadpool to be tied in with the next Avengers movie. Only if the Deadpool movie is done right could they make the strecth for him to be involved.
