Thanks to those two new B-Roll videos we may go behind the scenes of Lion, the upcoming drama movie directed by Garth Davis and starring Dev Patel:
Lion – B-Roll footage – Behind the scenes
“Five year old Saroo gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of Kilometers across India, away from home and family. Saroo must learn to survive alone in Kolkata, before ultimately being adopted by an Australian couple. Twenty five years later, armed with only a handful of memories, his unwavering determination, and a revolutionary technology known as Google Earth, he sets out to find his lost family and finally return to his first home.”
Wondering about something: did the film crew suffer from travellers’ diarrhea while filming in India? lol!
In theaters: November 25, 2016.
Update – A new series of posters:
:)
The movie LION has affected me immensely. It is the best film I have ever seen. Being a parent of two adopted Indian children from Kolkata, Saroo’s experience reached out and grabbed me and shook me down to my core. I am still not over the emotions that touched my heart in this beautiful movie! Everyone please go see this incredible movie.
I don’t often cry in movies, but I was bawling rivers on leaving the theater after seeing this. My daughter, now 23, was adopted from Central America as an infant. I feel now that I at least have some faint idea of how it must have been for her. All her life she has been dimly aware that far away was her own birth family who never knew anything about her or her new life growing up here in the US.
