Love in an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by William Eubank. The film is inspired by the upcoming album of the same name by the alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves. The release date is said to be Valentine’s Day, 2010, (February 14, 2010).
Here’s the latest official movie trailer of Love:
“After losing contact with Earth, Astronaut Lee Miller becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain his sanity – and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship. Driven by the powerful music of Angels and Airwaves, Love explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope… A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.”
I haven’t heard of this movie before seeing the trailer today, and I’m quite hooked now! I’m totally thrilled by this kind of movies. It kind of feels like Richard Kelly’s Donnie Darko and Steven Soderbergh’s Solaris, but the whole thing boosted with the music of Angels & Airwaves.
An earlier trailer of Love leaked online some time ago, and it just confirms that Love is gonna be a good sci-fi movie, an existentialist sci-fi movie:
The movie Love is gonna be an epic musical journey that crosses space and time to discover life!
