Based on a true story of survival.

“The harrowing true story of the crew of the USS Indianapolis, who were stranded in the Philippine Sea for five days after delivering the atomic weapons that would eventually end WWII. Sunk by Japanese torpedoes in 1945, the Indianapolis’ crew was left for days to fend against starvation, hypothermia and relentless shark attacks.”

I am so glad this picture has been made! My Dad was a survivor of this disaster! In fact according to Dr. Haines he survived twice, first a gangrenous appendix followed by the downing of the ship less than a week later. So thanks for making this film!! Wanda
