Wondering about the title maybe? Well, nothing to do with military conflict or traditional war. Wardriving is actually the act of searching for and mapping Wi-Fi wireless networks, usually from a moving vehicle (the “driving” part), using a laptop or smartphone equipped with specialized tools. And why the “war” part then? Well, it’s a reference to the 1983 movie WarGames, where the main character performed a similar activity called “war dialing” (using a computer to dial random phone numbers to find a working modem). The “war” in both cases refers to the aggressive or strategic nature of seeking out targets.
The film has yet to get an official release date.
