Citizen Game Movie
Lionsgate has just announced through Twitter that Gerard Butler’s movie Game is retitled Citizen Game:
EXCLUSIVE – GAME gets new title – CITIZEN GAME – in theaters 9/4

Will be easier for Lionsgate to promote the film under the title of Citizen Game.
Plot:
“Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player (Gerard Butler) from a game called ‘Slayers’ looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind (Hall)”

That’s a science-fiction that might raising real forward issues, besides delivering some serious action!
The movie Citizen Game should hit theaters on September 4, 2009.
Update: Lionsgate changed once again, the movie is finally titled Gamer.

hmm Game retitled to “Citizen Game”. Saw the trailer, it was quick and brilliant.

They changed the name AGAIN. Or at least in Canada, it’s called GAMER. Can’t lock down a name?
Yep it’s Gamer by now (even heard that it’s Ultimate Game in Europe).
About Citizen Game: I guess they changed for Gamer to avoid confusion with the upcoming movie Law Abiding Citizen which is also starring Gerard Butler.
