Take a look to this teaser poster of Detour, the upcoming psychological thriller movie directed by Chris Smith and starring Tye Sheridan, Bel Powley, Stephen Moyer, and Jared Abrahamson:

(Click on the poster to enlarge.)

DETOUR

Plot:
“Law student and all round good guy, Harper, suspects that his scheming step-father, Vincent, is responsible for the car crash that sent his mother into a coma. Drowning his sorrows one evening in a seedy L.A whiskey bar, Harper is interrupted by a tough looking redneck called Johnny Ray who offers to “take care” of his step-dad for the cool sum of US$20,000. Angry, intent on revenge and fuelled by alcohol, Harper agrees to the deal and spends the rest of his evening downing shots with Johnny Ray.
What follows is a tense and deftly constructed noir thriller in which Harper’s story takes an unexpected detour, presenting the audience with two alternate versions of events with two very different outcomes. Did Harper really want to kill his step father and which road did he actually take?”

So are they really going to drive that yellow car? Will it be a convertible or not? lol!

The film is listed for a release in 2016.

The fourth installment in the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie franchise is officially titled Alvin and the Chipmunks Road Chip. Yep, Alvin and his mates will go on a road trip!

I just spotted this earlier teaser poster (not sure it’s official though, it could be fan made):

Been checking casting calls and it sounds our friends will meet bikers, cow boys, Latinos, cosplay fans, and college students. Among other cities Alvin and his mates will visit Los Angeles, Miami and possibly Atlanta, and I guess New York City. And Actor Tony Hale has been cast as the film’s villain.

“This comedy follows two codependent East Village, New York girls, Olivia and Nicole, on the verge of eviction and existential crisis. They’re struggling artists, living in a Bohemian apartment. Their electricity has been turned off and they’ve begun an ill-advised juice fast. To top it all off, they’re out of money and too “talented” to come up with the rent. To solve their problems they go to L.A. to visit Nicole’s wealthy aunt, Kimberley, the host of a popular reality TV talent show. As Kimberley convinces the girls to audition, the girls struggle to maintain their friendship as Olivia begins to realize she may not be as dependent on Nicole as she once believed.”
