Nowhere Boy Movie Trailer

November 2nd, 2009

Nowhere Boy MovieFor his feature film directorial debut, Director Sam Taylor-Wood is tackling a biopic of John Lenon, the leader of the Beatles: the movie, titled Nowhere Boy, is about John Lenon’s childhood and adolescence. It is starring Aaron Johnson, Thomas Sangster, Anne-Marie Duff, and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Here below the first official movie trailer of Nowhere Boy:

NOWHERE BOY

Discover the untold story of John Lenon!

It’s a quite intimate look to the early life of the star. And I think it’s a quite honest look since it’s is based on the book ‘Imagine This: Growing Up With My Brother John Lennon’ by Lennon’s half sister Julia Baird.

We had the remastered Beatles albums and now we have a movie dedicated to John Lenon: it’s like the Beatle mania has been reignited!

The Resident Movie

November 2nd, 2009

The Resident is an upcoming thriller drama movie written and directed by Antti Jokinen and starring Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Christopher Lee. The movie will be released in 2010.
Here’s a first glimpse at The Resident:

Plot:
“Every year, three million single women in America move into an apartment for the first time. They do not know who lived in the apartment before them, they do not know their landlords, and they don’t bother to change the locks. This is the story of one such woman…
After separating from her husband, pretty young doctor Juliet Dermer (Hilary Swank) moves to Brooklyn, settling into a new life in a stunning and spacious loft apartment that seems too good to be true.
It is…
Mysterious occurrences lead her to suspect that she is not alone in her home and quickly her fears become all too real. In a chilling revelation, she discovers that her seemingly charming, young landlord, Max (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), has developed a dangerous obsession with her. A terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues as Juliet fights to free herself from Max’s sinister intentions.”

The plot of The Resident could be based on a true story: the world is full of freaks! Just a few months ago, I heard about a landlord who rigged a hidden camera in the bedroom of a teenage tenant… But it’s even worse in the movie because the landlord dares to enter in the house! Creepy! Such stories can but convince people to support the NRA!

Zoe Saldana as Aisha in The Losers

November 2nd, 2009

Here’s a first look at Zoe Saldana as Aisha on the set of The Losers, the upcoming action movie directed by Sylvain White and based on the DC comic book of the same name:

(Click on the picture to enlarge it.)

Aisha is described as the loose cannon among the Losers. She is identified by her eyebrow piercing and tied-back hair. She may look cute but she’s no little girl: she’s a walking weapon, expert in all combat skills, and she prefers to leave corpses rather than survivors when she engages the enemy!

Sounds like there is going to be some real action for Zoe Saldana in the Losers movie!

Love Movie Trailer

November 2nd, 2009

Love Movie by Angels and AirwavesLove in an upcoming sci-fi movie directed by William Eubank. The film is inspired by the upcoming album of the same name by the alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves. The release date is said to be Valentine’s Day, 2010, (February 14, 2010).

Here’s the latest official movie trailer of Love:

LOVE

Plot:
“After losing contact with Earth, Astronaut Lee Miller becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain his sanity – and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship. Driven by the powerful music of Angels and Airwaves, Love explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope… A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.”

I haven’t heard of this movie before seeing the trailer today, and I’m quite hooked now! I’m totally thrilled by this kind of movies. It kind of feels like Richard Kelly’s Donnie Darko and Steven Soderbergh’s Solaris, but the whole thing boosted with the music of Angels & Airwaves.

An earlier trailer of Love leaked online some time ago, and it just confirms that Love is gonna be a good sci-fi movie, an existentialist sci-fi movie: Continue Reading »

The Box – Trouble Has Found You

The Box – Just a box
Norma (Cameron Diaz) can’t resist the shiny red button.

Plot:
“A small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a married couple, who know that opening it will grant them a million dollars and kill someone they don’t know.”

I’d be glad to claim that I would never push this red button, but I don’t want to fool myself, greed sounds so sweet to my ear… What about you?

Would you push the red button?

The Blind Side Movie

Plot:
“A poor, oversized and under-educated teenager is recruited by a major college football program where he is groomed into an athletically and academically successful NFL prospect. Based on Michael Lewis’ book, ‘The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game’.”

The Blind Side is an inspiring story, and there is definitely a lesson in this movie: raising kids involves much more than paying school fees! Want your kid to succeed? Then help them, be there for them!

GREEN ZONE MOVIE TRAILER

Plot:
“A thriller about a pair of CIA agents on the trail of certain Weapons of Mass Destruction and a foreign correspondent following their mission. Inspired by Imperial Life in the Emerald City.”

This new cut of the Green Zone trailer is way better than the US trailer. I wonder why they didn’t release this version of the trailer from the start… But now, it kind of reminds of Body of Lies with Leonardo DiCaprio..
