Check out the gorgeous trailer of The Imitation Game, the upcoming biography drama movie directed by Morten Tyldu and starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing:

THE IMITATION GAME

Based on a true story.

To take down the world’s greatest threat they had to create the world’s first computer.

It took a man with secrets to break the biggest one.

Plot:
“In THE IMITATION GAME, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the UK government in 1952 for homosexual acts which the country deemed illegal.”

Alan Turing was great man. Am glad they did this movie! Besides it looks damn interesting and you can tell that this film is going for Oscars in so many categories: can’t wait to see the whole thing!

Besides Benedict Cumberbatch, the film is also starring Keira Knightley, Mark Strong, and Matthew Goode.

The release date of The Imitation Game is set to November 21, 2014.

Lucy – I have never driven before!
Plot:
“The story focuses on a woman (Scarlett Johansson) who is forced to become a drug mule. But the drug accidentally goes into her body, mysteriously granting her superhuman powers. She can absorb knowledge instantly, is able to move objects with her mind and can’t feel pain or distress.”

The way Scarlett Johansson plays with those broadcast signals reminds me of Gary Bell (played by Ryan Cartwright) from the TV series Alphas.

Silence Movie directed by Martin Scorsese

Director Martin Scorsese is set to work on Silence, an upcoming drama history movie set in seventeenth century Japan. The film is based on a novel by Japanese Author Shûsaku Endô. Here’s the plot synopsis:

Plot:
“In the seventeenth century, two Jesuit priests face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and to spread the gospel of Christianity. But under the Tokugawa shogunate, Catholicism and almost all foreign contact has been banned. There they witness the persecution of Japanese Christians at the hands of their own government which wishes to purge Japan of all western influence. Eventually the priests separate and Rodrigues travels the countryside, wondering why God remains silent while His children suffer.”

So far the cast includes:
- Liam Neeson as Father Ferreira
- Andrew Garfield as Father Rodrigues
- Adam Driver as Father Francisco Garrpe
- Ken Watanabe as Kichijiro

This isn’t the first movie adaptation. The novel was actually first adapted into a movie in 1971 by Masahiro Shinoda. But am curious to see Martin Scorsese’s take on Shûsaku Endô’s novel.

The film has yet to get an official release date. But it should be released sometime in 2015.

Just two new posters of And So It Goes, the upcoming comedy movie directed by Rob Reiner and starring Michael Douglas, Diane Keaton, and Sterling Jerins:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

Plot:
“There are a million reasons not to like realtor Oren Little (Michael Douglas), and that’s just the way he likes it. Willfully obnoxious to anyone who might cross his path, he wants nothing more than to sell one last house and retire in peace and quiet — until his estranged son suddenly drops off a granddaughter (Sterling Jerins) he never knew existed and turns his life upside-down. Clueless about how to care for a sweet, abandoned nine-year-old, he pawns her off on his determined and lovable neighbor Leah (Diane Keaton) and tries to resume his life uninterrupted. But little by little, Oren stubbornly learns to open his heart – to his family, to Leah, and to life itself.”

Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton would make for a lovely couple in real life!

Dolphin Tale 2 – 2 dolphins, a pelican and a turtle

We’ve got our hands on two new posters of Dolphin Tale 2, the upcoming family drama movie written and directed by Charles Martin Smith:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

Plot:
“The team of people who saved the dolphin Winter reassemble in the wake of her surrogate mother’s passing in order to find her a companion so she can remain at the Clearwater Marine Hospital.”

The two dolphins (Winter and Hope) are cute, but I’d rather watch a movie about that pelican (Rufus) and the turtle (Mavis)! They’re going to steal the show!
