Mark Millar’s comic books are a hot source material for Hollywood since Wanted. The latest movie to be based on Mark Millar’s work is Kick-Ass, an upcoming action movie based on the comic book of the same name and directed by Matthew Vaughn. Kick-Ass is about a boy who throws on a super-hero outfit and goes fight against crime even he doesn’t have any superpower. Kick-Ass breaks and reimagines superhero conventions in a dramatic satire full of violence.

I hope that Director Matthew Vaughn won’t shy away from a R rating: ok, it would mean that a younger public wouldn’t be allowed to watch the movie in theaters (because of the dictatorial stance of the MPAA), but if Matthew Vaughn wants to be faithful to the original material, the movie Kick-Ass has to be rated R!
;-P
Aaron Johnson said in an interview that the Kick-ass was a good contrast to “Angus, thongs and perfect snogging” because the violence was quite graphic so we have hope that it is going to stay true to the original material.
madlittleminx do not forget it is only CGI violence and younger public will get to see this movie they might not see it in cinemas but i have a 12 year old daughter who is just chloe grace moretz mad she will see it when it coes out on DVD and yes i do let my daughter see grown up movies i don’t mean porn movies i mean R rated because she is intelligent enough to realise that what is happening in the movie isn’t real it is cgi or prosthetic i mean i watched horror movies when i was a kid i saw one of the freddy krueger films when i was only 8 its just special effects i do not believe what i see on screen to be real thats probably why i haven’t really been scared watching them
I watched this interview with chloe moretz:
she talks about hit girl now this movie has been given an r rating which means it isn’t for children so what about chloe’s fans now chloe will have fans who have grown up with chloe around her movies and tv shows etc this means they wont be able to see this movie so i would say this movie is going to be a let down for many of chloe’s fans who are in fact chloe’s age who have supported her up til now an actor also relies on support from fans they go see the movie in theaters they pay to see it also they go out and buy it on dvd in the shops when it is released on dvd this is an r rated movie so i cannot see chloe’s fans well most of them buying it they are too young the shop wont sell them it
they will sell it if an adult such as a parent or older brother or sister etc goes and buys them it!
i wonder let’s just see how many of chloe grace’s fans will get to see this particularly the ones who are chloe’s age!
Chloe should have thought of her fans BEFORE singing on to a Millar Moron Movie. Lets face it Wanted s**ked! This looks lame also. both the graphic novel and movie were afull, Mark Millar just regurgitates plot elements used by the great comic writers like Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman I think his works are violent adolescent slasher fantasies he should see a shrink. If you want a good graphic novel read Identity Crisis by Brad Meltzer.
There is something wrong with a person writing about a murdering sword wielding 11 year old child trained by an equally revolting parent. I like a good story to go with my violence and I think Millar uses blood to cover his so so writing so most likely this move will suck. Also I think if people stopped watching and reading crap like this we might see the Comic, Graphic novel, and even the Film industry experience another golden age.
erm did you just say that? her fans will see it my daughter being one of them she is chloe’s age as a (2nd poom) black belt herself she was impressed with chloe’s martial arts in the clips that were leaked on the internet you need to think first her fans will see this movie especially when it comes out on DVD format!
yes alison he did she is suited to her role and chloe grace moretz will lose all her fans including my kids come come on what the f…. is she trying to go frighten off her fans she is making a good job of it
Very disappointed in movie. This would have been a good movie if every other word wasn’t the “F” word. It added nothing to movie. Degraded it. I’m telling all I know not to watch it.
it is only acting give Cloe a break she incurged people under 18 not 2 go n c it , after all it is her job so, cut her sum damn slack.
