Here’s a first official look at The Yellow Birds, the upcoming war drama movie directed by Alexandre Moors from a script by David Lowery and R.F.I. Porto and based on the novel by Kevin Powers:
“When two young men, Bartle (Alden Ehrenreich) and Murph (Tye Sheridan), enlist in the army and are sent off to fight in the Gulf War, they form a bond that only tragedy can preserve. When the unspeakable happens, a distraught soldier struggles to keep the balance between the truth that he vowed not to speak, and the peace that a mourning mother seeks.”
The cast includes Alden Ehrenreich, Tye Sheridan, Jennifer Aniston, Jack Huston, Toni Collette, Jason Patric, Lee Tergesen, Aylin Tezel, Rhoda Griffis, Carrie Wampler, Olivia Crocicchia, Nikolai Kinski, and Wilbur Fitzgerald.
An additional behind-the-scenes pictures:
I guess Jennifer Aniston is playing one of the young soldier’s mother.
The film has yet to get an official release date.
