Check out this preview clip of Trouble, the upcoming drama comedy movie written and directed by Theresa Rebeck and starring Anjelica Huston, Bill Pullman, David Morse, Julie Stiles, Jim Parrack, and Brian d’Arcy James:
Trouble – Get off my land!
“Maggie (Anjelica Huston) and Ben (Bill Pullman) are middle-aged siblings who, though they love each other, they certainly don’t like each other much. Although both were given equal halves of their father’s land upon his death, perpetual screw-up Ben sold his half years ago to his clearly more responsible, mature sister then bailed, his constant drunkenness interrupted only by the occasional trip to jail. But now he’s back in her life, living on a trailer, sharing joints with good friend Gerry (David Morse), and hoping to build a house on what could now be considered stolen land. And this time, he has a trick up his sleeve—an acquaintance (Julia Stiles) who works in the Bureau of Land Management and can falsify records so it looks like the land sale years ago never happened. Meanwhile, Maggie and Gerry, who’ve known each other since high school, reassess their long-term relationship and wonder if they are more than just friends.”
Seriously they’re falsifying land records? This could end real bad for the brother and his corrupt friend!
No official release date yet, but the film will premiere at the 1017 Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) on June 8th.
Stay tuned for updates.
