Disney is planning a new movie adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time, the 1963 science fantasy novel written by Madeleine L’Engle. Director Ava DuVernay is in charge of the project based on a script by Jennifer Lee (who penned the script of Disney’s Frozen).
Plot synopsis:
“After the disappearance of her scientist father, three peculiar beings send Meg, her brother, and her friend to space in order to find him.”
The cast includes Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Pena, Mindy Kaling, Bellamy Young, Levi Miller, Rowan Blanchard, Oprah Winfrey, Andre Holland, Daniel MacPherson, Will McCormack, Storm Reid, Alexia Rae Castillo, Akemi Look, Deric McCabe, Punnavith Koy, Jesse Jacobs, and Daniel R. Lawson.
