Keanu Reeves, the guy from Matrix, has been working on The Day The Earth Stood Still, a remake of a cult science fiction movie from the 1950’s.
A teaser poster of The Day Earth Stood Still has shown up at the Cinema Expo of Amsterdam, Holland:

The original movie was definitely pacifist. Not sure the new remake with Keanu Reeves will be as tame though because nowadays people expect blood and mayhem in sci-fi movies…

I saw an edited clip from this film at a friend of a friend’s house that was involved with the film (not available online – I’ve looked). Keanu Reeves’ character is being interrogated by a guy with glasses, hooked up to a machine (I’ve seen this guy many times before but can’t remember his name). The scene is amazing. I have never seen the original but if this movie has these two fighting it out we are in for one hell of a ride. I can’t wait. It looks like Keanu’s best work in years.
That’s the polygraph operator – David Richmond-Peck. He was in ‘Married Life’ with Chris Cooper (totally different character) and a bunch of other stuff. I know he’s in Roland Emmerich’s next film. I live in Vancouver where both films have and are being shot. If you’ve seen the original there is no major nemesis for Klaatu so I’m assuming we’ll see a lot of Jennifer C. Has anyone heard how strict this film will be in following the original?
anyone knows what music is playing? tell me pls
