We’ve got our hands on a first official picture of Desierto, the upcoming drama thriller movie directed by Jonas Cuaron (who brought us Gravity) based on a script he co-wrote with Mateo garcia:
“Moises (Gael García Bernal) travels with a group of immigrants through an unguarded, hellish section of the Sonoran desert trying to cross into the United States, when suddenly, a shot rings out- they fall into the sight of Sam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a deranged vigilante who is taking border laws into his own hands, shooting off the immigrants one by one. A sinister cat and mouse chase begins, set against the backdrop of this brutal yet beautiful landscape, and Moises must find a way to outwit his hunter in order to survive and not become another victim of this forsaken land.”
Do you bet on Gael García Bernal or Jeffrey Dean Morgan (who’s been cast to play the role of the villain Negan in the Walking dead TV series by the way!)? Who’s going to win the game?
