Nigerian-American Filmmaker Julius Onah is set to helm God Particle, an upcoming science-fiction movie produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. Here’s the latest plot synopsis:
Plot synopsis:
“The film takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for their survival.”
But an earlier plot synopsis read as this:
Earlier synopsis:
“After a physics experiment with a large Hadron accelerator causes the Earth to seemingly vanish completely, the terrified crew of an orbiting American space station is left floating in the middle of now-even-more-empty space. When a European spacecraft appears on their radar, the Americans must determine whether it’s their salvation, or a harbinger of doom.”
So far the cast includes David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. From what I heard it will be a low-budget movie.
The release date of God Particle is set to February 24, 2017.
