A first official look at Guernsey, the upcoming romantic drama movie directed by Mike Newell from a script by Thomas Bezucha and Don Roos based on the novel “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer:
“A writer (Lily James) forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island in the aftermath of World War II when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.”
Yet another story about a city girl who falls for a country boy?
The cast includes Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay, Tom Courtenay, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Courtenay and Penelope Wilton
The film has yet to get an official release date.
