A first official look at Hot Summer Nights, the upcoming drama movie written and directed by Elijah Bynum and starring Timothee Chalamet (the young chap from Call By Your Name), Maika Monroe, Alex Roe, Maia Mitchell, William Fichtner, Thomas Jane, and Emory Cohen:
“American flags wave as fireworks light the sky — it’s 1991 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and summer is in full swing. A lonely teenage boy (Timothee Chalamet) is taken under the wing of the town rebel (Emory Cohen), falls in love with the prettiest girl (Maika Monroe) in fifty miles, and gets entangled in a drug ring – all as the deadliest hurricane in New England history barrels towards the coast. This coming of age film marks the feature debut of writer/director Elijah Bynum.”
