Ricky Gervais is back with The Invention of Lying, a sweet comedy that somewhat reverses the premise of Jim Carrey’s Liar Liar. Watch the trailer of the Invention of Lying below:

Plot:
“The film is set on an alternate Earth where no one has ever lied, and stars Gervais as a performer who tells the world’s first lie, coming to wield its power for personal gain.”

The Invention of Lying looks like a nice lighthearted comedy. I guess I’ll have a good laugh watching it when it hits theaters on September 25, 2009.
