Do you remember Jem and the Holograms? Yep, that kitsch animated TV series from the 1980’s about music company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, her band the Holograms, and their adventures. Well, Jem is going to make to the big screen! Director John M. Chu (who directed Step Up 3D, GI Joe Retaliation, and the Justin Bieber movies) is indeed set to helm a live-action movie adaptation of the series, he announced the project via youtube:

So, John M. Chu wants to bring us a modern day live-action reinvention of the 1980s classic Hasbro cartoon. Any creative fans of Jem and the Holograms ready to contribute to the project?
