THE RETURN
Plot synopsis:
“After the death of his father, Rodger (Richard Harmon) returns to the family home to set affairs in order. With his girlfriend and best friend in tow, Rodger begins to investigate the details of this family tragedy. He soon finds a malevolent force has been haunting his family for decades and it’s coming for him!”
Well, I don’t worry much for Richard Harmon. He proved himself in The 100 and he’s as tough as a cockroach: even a malevolent force with a sci-fi twist can’t tame him! Anyway, I will definitely give this film a try. And you?

You may watch below the official trailer of Free Lunch Express, the upcoming satirical comedy movie written and directed by Lenny Britton and starring Sam Brittan:
FREE LUNCH EXPRESS
Plot synopsis:
“From the creators who watched “Airplane!” too many times, comes the surreal story of Bernie Sanders. This farcical tale takes us from childhood to political icon battling against the Clintons, having drinks with AOC and smoking weed with Ben & Jerry.
Once upon a time lived a man in New England named Bernard Sanders. His friends called him Bernie. He was going to run for President of the United States of America and create great change for the people. He was going to make the world a better place.
But his story actually begins in Brooklyn, 1953. Bullied as a youth, Bernie becomes interested in communism. Tired of the rich kids gloating their status in his face, he vows to never pay for another meal again. It’s time for the government to pay for everything!
As Bernie grows up, he is visited by the spirits of pioneering politicians, who guide him through the trenches of the political system and warn him of the dangers of the one percent. But nothing can deter Bernie’s dreams. His journeys through the decades takes him through marijuana infused visits with Ben & Jerry, debates with Hillary Clinton and cocktails with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The path to the White House may be paved with good intentions…usually… but Bernie’s got a long and winding road to go if he’s going to earn himself those free lunches.”
The opening scene of the trailer had me laughing out loud! It kind of reminds me Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat at times. Anyway, are you in for a funny movie?

We’ve got our hands on the first official trailer of Minamata, the upcoming drama movie starring Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy, Minami, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Ryo Kase and Jun Kunimura:
MINAMATA
Plot synopsis:
“New York, 1971. Following his celebrated days as one of the most revered photojournalists of World War II, W. Eugene Smith (Johnny Depp) has become a recluse, disconnected from society and his career. But a secret commission from Life magazine editor Robert Hayes (Bill Nighy) sends him to the Japanese coastal city of Minamata, which has been ravaged by mercury poisoning; the result of decades of gross industrial negligence by the country’s Chisso Corporation.
There, Smith immerses himself in the community, documenting their efforts to live with Minamata Disease and their passionate campaign to achieve recognition from Chisso and the Japanese government. Armed with only his trusted camera, Smith’s images from the toxic village give the disaster a heartbreaking human dimension, and his initial assignment turns into a life-changing experience.”
Nowadays there’s a trend to vilify journalism but I do believe that we live in a better world thanks to our journalists: by informing us they work for transparency and this makes for a better world in the long term. Anyway, Minamata sure looks like a great movie!
