Adult Life Skills Movie trailer

Adult Life Skills MovieCheck out the official trailer of Adult Life Skills, the upcoming comedy movie written and directed by Rachel Tunnard and starring Jodie Whittaker, Ozzy Myers, Brett Goldstein, Alice Lowe, Lorraine Ashbourne, Eileen Davies, Edward Hogg and Rachael Deering:

ADULT LIFE SKILLS

What makes you an adult?

Leaving home? Your own place? A serious relationship? Responsibilities?
Sometimes things just don’t work out… And everyone has an opinion.

Plot synopsis:
“Anna is stuck: she’s approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mum’s garden shed and wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered.
She spends her days making videos using her thumbs as actors – thumbs that bicker about things like whether Yogi Bear is a moral or existential nihilist. But Anna doesn’t show these videos to anyone and no one knows what they are for.
A week before her birthday her Mum serves her an ultimatum – she needs to move out of the shed, get a haircut that doesn’t put her gender in question and stop dressing like a homeless teenager. Naturally, Anna tells her Mum to BACK THE F-OFF.
However, when her school friend comes to visit, Anna’s self-imposed isolation becomes impossible to maintain. Soon she is entangled with a troubled eight year old boy obsessed with Westerns, and the local estate agent whose awkward interpersonal skills continually undermine his attempts to seduce her.
This is a story about confronting the things we are most scared of – a story that explores the universal themes of being lost and finding yourself, making peace with who you are, and regaining self-confidence and dignity.”

Did you spot Superbob? Yep I mean Actor Brett Goldstein, lol

SNOWDEN

A film by Oliver Stone.

Plot synopsis:
“Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone, who brought Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, Wall Street and JFK to the big screen, tackles the most important and fascinating true story of the 21st century. Snowden, the politically-charged, pulse-pounding thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley, reveals the incredible untold personal story of Edward Snowden, the polarizing figure who exposed shocking illegal surveillance activities by the NSA and became one of the most wanted men in the world. He is considered a hero by some, and a traitor by others. No matter which you believe, the epic story of why he did it, who he left behind, and how he pulled it off makes for one of the most compelling films of the year.”

PETE’S DRAGON

Some secrets are too big to keep.

Plot synopsis:
“A reimagining of Disney’s cherished family film, ‘Pete’s Dragon’ is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete (Oakes Fegley). Pete is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family and no home who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete’s descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from Mr. Meacham’s stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.”

The remake does look good, but why did they have to come up with a fury dragon instead of the traditional scaly dragon? Is it just a marketing trick to boost stuffed toy sales? Will the change turn you into a plushie?

3 Clips of Equals

He becomes an outcast once infected and is drawn to his writer co-worker Nia (Kristen Stewart), whom is also infected but hiding her condition. In order to survive, they have to escape together.”

The fat bumblebee doesn’t look like much of a flyer, indeed. But it does fly, so obviously, it doesn’t “violate the law of physics” contrary to what Kristen Stewart’s character said.
