WILD powerfully captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddens, strengthens, and ultimately heals her.”

Cheryl Strayed made a beautiful journey! I wish I had her strength!

When it comes to love, life and making the right choices, these two are their own worst enemies. One awkward turn at 18, one missed opportunity…and life sends them hurling in different directions. But somehow, across time, space and different continents, the tie that binds them cannot be undone — despite unwanted pregnancies, disastrous love affairs, marriage, infidelity and divorce. Will they find their way back to one another, or will it be too late?”

For younger readers of this blog, if you haven’t heard about it yet, there’s (among else) something called the morning-after pill that could well save you from an unplanned pregnancy that would ruin your life. Accident happens, that’s why there’s emergency contraception. Just saying…

Tusk Movie

Take a look to the first official poster of Tusk, the upcoming horror movie written and directed by Kevin Smith:

(Click on the poster to enlarge.)

TUSK

Let me tell you a story…

A truly informative tale.

Plot:
“When his best friend and podcast co-host goes missing in the backwoods of Canada, a young guy joins forces with his friend’s girlfriend to search for him.”

Here’s a definition of tusk: “a long, pointed tooth, especially one specially developed so as to protrude from the closed mouth, as in the elephant, walrus, or wild boar”. There are no elephants in Canada, so will the film be about a walrus or a wild boar? LoL!

The film has yet to get an official release date.

HECTOR AND THE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS

Plot:
“Actor Simon Pegg plays Hector, an eccentric yet irresistible London psychiatrist in crisis: his patients are just not getting any happier! He’s going nowhere. Then one day, armed with buckets of courage and an almost child-like curiosity, Hector breaks out of his sheltered vacuum of a life into a global quest to find out if happiness exists. More importantly, if it exists for Hector. And so begins a colorful, exotic, dangerous and hysterical journey.”

Rosamund Pike is way too pretty for Simon Pegg! Well, I guess it makes the movie even more hilarious…

2 New Posters of Hercules

We’ve got our hands on two new posters of Hercules, the upcoming action fantasy movie directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson:

Plot:
“Having endured his legendary twelve labors, Hercules (Dwayne Johnson), the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace (John Hurt) and his daughter (Irina Shayk) seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.”

If there was a real-life fight pitting Dwayne Johnson armed with a barbarian spike club against a big angry lion, would you bet on Dwayne Johnson or on the lion?

Besides Dwayne Johnson, the film is also starring Joseph Fiennes, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Rebecca Ferguson, Aksel Hennie and John Hurt.It will open in theaters on July 25, 2014.

Trailer and Poster of Young Ones

Let’s watch the official trailer of Young Ones, the upcoming science-fiction movie written and directed by Jake Paltrow and starring Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Elle Fanning, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Aimee Mullins:

YOUNG ONES
Plot:
“Set in the future when water is hard to find a teenage boy sets out to protect his family and survive.
Ernest Holm (Michael Shannon) lives on this harsh frontier with his children, Jerome (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Mary (Elle Fanning). He defends his farm from bandits, works the supply routes, and hopes to rejuvenate the soil. But Mary’s boyfriend, Flem Lever (Nicholas Hoult), has grander designs. He wants Ernest’s land for himself, and will go to any length to get it. ”

We also have two official posters:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

YOUNG ONES

Not all children have a childhood.

Love the trailer, am definitely hooked and I want to see the whole thing. But the post-apoclayptic world of this film is based on “fake” science… Water can’t vanish like that from the whole world… It has to go somewhere (maybe it’s salty?). And let’s not forget that scarcity increases an item’s relative price based upon its relatively low supply. So instead of working for facebook or snapchat our engineers would have a real incentive to work on water-related issues (like desalination for example) to keep the liquid flowing.

The film has yet to get an official release date. But I heard it could possibly get released sometime in October 2014.

Trailer of David Fincher’s Gone Girl

Check out this new trailer of David Fincher’s Gone Girl, the upcoming thriller drama movie starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike:

On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?”

Exodus Movie Trailer

You may watch below the first official trailer of Exodus aka Exodus Gods and Kings, the upcoming fantasy drama movie directed by Ridley Scott and starring Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton:

EXODUS GODS AND KINGS
Plot:
“The film retells the biblical story of Moses, who, according to the book of Exodus, suffered near death during infancy, was adopted into the Egyptian royal family, defied the Pharoah, freed the Hebrews and parted the Red Sea.”

I’ve to admit Ridley Scott’s take on Moses does looks appealing!

Anyway, there are also three new posters:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

By the way, do you approve Joel Edgerton’s bald head? Handsome or not?

Besides Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton, the cast also includes Aaron Paul, John Turturro, Sigourney Weaver, and Ben Kingsley.

“The story focuses on a woman (Scarlett Johansson) who is forced to become a drug mule. But the drug accidentally goes into her body, mysteriously granting her superhuman powers. She can absorb knowledge instantly, is able to move objects with her mind and can’t feel pain or distress.”

Actress Scarlett Johansson doesn’t need superpowers: her sensual beauty is tantamount to the ultimate weapon!
