Plot:
“In the months leading up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, an American man (John Cusack) arrives in Shanghai to find his friend recently murdered. In investigating his friend’s death, he stumbles upon a secret the United States government has been keeping and falls in love in the process.”

John Cusack isn’t as popular as Chown Yun Fat in China, that’s probably why Chow Yun Fat’s head is prominently showing in the foreground of the two first posters of Shanghai while John Cusack is barely seen in the background!

And attached to the teaser poster above there was an official plot:

Plot:
“Green Lantern is set to light up movie screens around the world in summer 2011. Bringing the enduringly popular DC Super Hero to the big screen for the first time, Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds in the title role as the newest member of the Green Lantern Corps. Each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers, but when a new enemy threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate, and the fate of Earth, lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.”

The Green Lantern movie villain is likely to be Parallax according to the longer plot synopsis that leaked online a few days ago. Here’s what Parallax looks like in the original comic book:

Parallax is a yellow entity (yellow is evil in the Green Lantern’s universe) made of living fear. The parasite travels from world to world and causes entire civilizations to destroy themselves out of paranoia.

Let’s hope that Hal Jordan aka the Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) will save the day!
