Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard in An Education
Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard got the lead roles in An Education, an upcoming romantic drama movie directed by Lone Scherfig. Take a look to this new poster of An Education:

AN EDUCATION
Sometimes an education isn’t always by the book.
Plot:
“A coming-of-age story about a teenage girl in 1960s suburban London, and how her life changes with the arrival of a playboy nearly twice her age.”
Some people know how to appreciate life! Great place to have drink! Make me think: I should bring my wife to do some romantic stuff like that!

Hilary Swank Amelia
Hilary Swank plays the role of Amelia Earhart, the famous Aviation pioneer, in an upcoming biopic titled Amelia. Here below the first official movie poster of Amelia:
Plot:
“A look at the life of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world.”
Amelia Earhart was damn courageous to fly in the clunkers of old time! For my part, I prefer to avoid airplanes as much as I can… It’s noisy and such a hassle at the airport.

All About Steve Movie
All About Steve is an upcoming romantic comedy movie starring Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper and directed by Phil Traill. It will be released on September 14, 2009.
Below the first official movie poster of All About Steve:
Plot:
“Convinced that a CNN cameraman (Bradley Cooper) is her true love, an eccentric crossword puzzler (Sandra Bullock) trails him as he travels all over the country, hoping to convince him that they belong together.”
The movie All About Steve boils down to a lighthearted comedy with Sandra Bullock in a nerdy role. Well sounds good enough for me to watch All About Steve!

DiCaprio Shutter Island
Here’s a new Shutter island poster that’s slightly different from the previous one:

SHUTTER ISLAND
Someone is missing.
Do I see mirrors in the background of the island? And with this smoke around Leonardo DiCaprio’s face… Is it to tell that everything is smoke and mirrors in the movie Shutter Island?

After.Life Movie Poster
Take a look to this teaser poster of After Life, the upcoming thriller horror movie starring Liam Neeson:
Plot:
“A young woman caught between life and death… and a funeral director who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but might just be intent on burying her alive.”
Compared to the pictures we saw last day, this movie poster of After Life looks rather innocent.

Priest Movie
Priest is an other movie starring Paul Bettany, but this time he goes on the other side, as a Christian priest who’s hellbent on tracking the vampires who captured his dear niece. The film is directed by Scott Stewart. Priest is set for a release on August 13, 2010.
Update – here’s the movie trailer of Priest:
PRIEST
Thanks to this poster we may have a first look at Paul Bettany in the movie Priest:
Plot:
“An adaptation of a TokyoPop comic book, Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.”
Hellbent seems to be the right word to describe this determined priest!

Ilion Animation Planet 51
Here’s a new international movie poster of Ilion Animation Studios’ Planet 51:
Plot:
“American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker lands on Planet 51 thinking he’s the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders…like Chuck!”
Geek question of the day: if there was an interplanetary community (with different sentient species) what would a space passport look like?

Law Abiding Citizen Movie
Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx are the two lead stars of Law Abiding Citizen, an upcoming drama thriller film directed by F. Gary Gray. The film is about a prosecutor who tries to hinder a man from orchestrating a well-organized revenge place. The Law Abiding Citizen movie is set to to hit theaters on October 16, 2009.
Here below two characters posters of Law Abiding Citizen featuring Gerard Butler as Clyde Shelton the vengeful man and Jamie Foxx as Nick Rice the prosecutor:

Plot:
“Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Over his objections, Nick is forced by his boss to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice.
Fast forward ten years. The man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Nick: Either fix the flawed justice system that failed his family, or key players in the trial will die.
Soon Shelton follows through on his threats, orchestrating from his jail cell a string of spectacularly diabolical assassinations that can be neither predicted nor prevented. Philadelphia is gripped with fear as Shelton’s high-profile targets are slain one after another and the authorities are powerless to halt his reign of terror. Only Nick can stop the killing, and to do so he must outwit this brilliant sociopath in a harrowing contest of wills in which even the smallest misstep means death. With his own family now in Shelton’s crosshairs, Nick finds himself in a desperate race against time facing a deadly adversary who seems always to be one step ahead.”
I can understand why Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) would want revenge. But our society is based on law. We can’t afford to allow vengeful people to do as they want even when they would be in their right. If we did it would break the very basis of our democratic society. So let’s hope that Shelton won’t be able to carry out his revenge for the sake of the society, but that real justice will be brought.
