Red Sparrow Movie trailer

Red Sparrow MovieYou may watch below the first official trailer of Red sparrow, the upcoming thriller movie directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeremy Irons:

RED SARROW
Plot synopsis:
“Dominika Egorova (Jennifer Lawrence) is many things.
A devoted daughter determined to protect her mother at all costs.
A prima ballerina whose ferocity has pushed her body and mind to the absolute limit.
A master of seductive and manipulative combat.
When she suffers a career-ending injury, Dominika and her mother are facing a bleak and uncertain future. That is why she finds herself manipulated into becoming the newest recruit for Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. After enduring the perverse and sadistic training process, she emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced. Dominika must now reconcile the person she was with the power she now commands, with her own life and everyone she cares about at risk, including an American CIA agent who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust.”

Jennifer Lawrence makes for a lovely sparrow, doesn’t she? I’d even say she’s gorgeous as a Soviet Mata Hari! I’d betray everything for her, lol.

While Ben swipes through his smart phone looking for his next partner, Malcolm and Larry end up having more time with one of the timeless toddlers than we might have imagined. Will Malcolm recover from a disastrous accident with kitchen cleaner? The answers to these questions and more await in Byington’s heady and hilarious potpourri.”

Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.”

The song in the background, “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by the verve, kind of sounds out of place for a movie so rooted in Day of the Dead lore… Maybe a Mexican or Latino song would have been more appropriate?

Anyway, the film will open in theaters on November 22, 2017.

And here’s the official music video of the song:
