STRANDED

Humanity’s first alien contact… could be our last.

I don’t think Stranded will be the science-fiction movie of the year. But it does look like a fairly entertaining movie, I guess I’ll see the film.

The release date of Stranded is set for July 26, 2013.

Walking Dead Season 4 Promo Video

The Walking Dead Season 4This new promo video for Season 4 of The Walking Dead shows no real footage of the new season, but does reveal a few details:

New people, surprising twists, and characters turning into zombie: well, sounds good to me!

And here’s a first picture of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the new season:

(Click on the picture to enlarge.)

What is Rick doing in this forest? And why is he ignoring that zombie in the back? Is he once again dating the ghost of his dead wife?

Executive producer Robert Kirkman gave some more details to IGN about Rick:

“We’re going to see a very different Rick (Andrew Lincoln), but one of his main goals is to manage this situation with Carl (Chandler Riggs) and see if he can bring him back from this darkness that’s crept into him. Whether or not he’s able to do that, we’ll have to see. But this is a big change in the character of Carl, but it’s something that’s going to be weighing heavily on Rick next season.”

Executive producer Robert Kirkman

Come on, Carl is fine, the young man is built to survive! His father should learn from him!

Anyway, season 4 of The Walking Dead is set to premiere on AMC this Fall.

New Trailer of White House Down, Roland Emmerich’s latest take on blowing up the White House!

A new four-minute trailer of White House Down, German Filmmaker Roland Emmerich’s latest take on blowing up the White House, has been released online, watch it below:

WHITE HOUSE DOWN
Plot:
“Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.”

I guess the members of the paramilitary group attacking the White House in this film never use Google, Facebook or Yahoo. Otherwise the NSA would have caught them (wishful thinking?) thanks to PRISM, the electronic surveillance program that’s been making headlines the last few days.

The film is starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, and James Woods.

In theaters: June 28, 2013.

Despicable Me 2 Movie

Despicable Me 2 – Gru, call your munchkins!

Summary:
“The series follows a group of young people who possess powers as the result of human evolution. Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell)’s life is starting to get crazier than he could have ever imagined.”

Plot:
“The Hot Flashes is about an unlikely basketball team of unappreciated middle-aged Texas women, all former high school champs, who challenge the current arrogant high school girls’ state champs to raise money for breast cancer prevention. Sparks fly as the women go to comic extremes to prove themselves on and off the court, become a national media sensation, and gain a new lease on life.”

Two official posters of the film below:

(Click on a poster to enlarge.)

THE HOT FLASHES

Everyone thought their glory days were over. Everyone thought wrong!

For those who don’t know about it, hot flashes (a feeling of intense heat with sweating and rapid heartbeat, and may typically last from two to thirty minutes for each occurrence) are a symptom which may have several other causes, but which is often caused by the changing hormone levels that are characteristic of menopause.

Anyway, can’t wait to see the Hot Flashes movie!

Opening in select theaters on July 12th, 2013!
:)

2 Clips and Poster of The Heat

We’ve got our hands on the UK poster of The Heat, the upcoming action comedy movie directed by Paul Feig and starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy:

THE HEAT

Good cop. Mad cop.

Plot:
“Uptight FBI special agent Sarah Ashburn is paired with testy Boston cop Shannon Mullins in order to take down a ruthless drug lord. The hitch: neither woman has ever had a partner — or a friend for that matter.”

Judging from the photoshopped faces of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy I guess there’s someone in the UK who think both actresses need botox injections..

Anyway, we also have two funny clips:

The Heat – Irish drunk face

The Heat – Family dinner

Do you like Det. Shannon Mullins, the irksome character played by Melissa McCarthy?

Release date: June 28, 2013.

Why does Travolta look like an evil version of Abraham lincoln? Anyway, who do you think is going to win that one: Robert De Niro or John Travolta? Or will both of them die at the end?
:?

Trailer of The Frozen Ground the upcoming thriller movie pitting Nicolas Cage and Vanessa Hudgens against John Cusack!

Thanks to Yahoo Movies here’s the official movie trailer of frozen Ground, the upcoming thriller written and directed by Scott Walker and starring Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, Vanessa Hudgens, Curtis Jackson, and Radha Mitchell:

THE FROZEN GROUND

Based on a true story.

Plot:
“Alaskan State Trooper Jack Halcombe (Nicolas Cage) sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen (John Cusack), a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years. As the bodies of street girls start to pile up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public. Risking his life, Halcombe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee (Vanessa Hudgens) reveals key information about the case, Halcombe is finally on the trail of the killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim?”

I wish Nicolas Cage and John Cusack would have switched their roles. Would have made for a more interesting movie! By the way does Vanessa Hudgens remind you of Mila Kunis?

Anyway, the film will hit theaters on August 23, 2013.
