Summary:

The show is based on the 1988 novel of the same name written by William Brinkley. But the show has been updated: the apocalypse isn’t anymore the result of nuclear warfare between superpowers, it’s now the result of a deadly pandemic.

The Last Ship will set sail on TNT in Summer 2014.

The 100 is a new science-fiction TV series set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization. It’s based on the yet-to-be-published novel of the same name written by Kass Morgan. Watch the official trailer below:

If they have no idea what’s waiting for them down there then sending robot and highly trained soldiers would be a smarter move than sending a bunch of juvenile delinquents. But I guess they hope the teens to fornicate and rut like rabbits just to repopulate Earth as soon as possible…

Plot:

To play the lead star, two dogs, Dino and Bella, have been “hired” for the lead canine role so they can interchange them throughout the movie, this way they don’t get burned out on set. There’s also a fully mobile remote-controlled electronic dog that can talk and move around like Dino and Bella.

Summary:
“Helix is an intense thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. ”

The title of the series obviously refers to the double helix structure of DNA. Now, where does the DNA causing the disease comes from? Is it the result of genetic engineering or did they stumble upon alien DNA?

Producer Ron Moore (who also produced the reboot TV series Battlestar Galactica) talks about Helix in this video:
