Plot:

After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.”

The film is a movie adaptation of the first opus of The Mortal Instruments, the young-adult fantasy novel series by Cassandra Clare. If the film performs well in theaters we may expect sequels. The studios are indeedhoping to emulate the success of the Twilight Saga.

The release date of The Mortal Instruments City of Bones is set for August 23, 2013.

That teaser trailer reveals nothing about the plot, but well it’s a sci-fi movie, so I guess am impatient to see more…
