Pacific Rim Movie Trailer

The first official movie trailer of Pacific Rim, the upcoming science-fiction movie directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day, has been unleashed online, you may watch it below:

Pacific Rim Movie

PACIFIC RIM

From Director Guillermo Del Toro.

To fight monsters we created monsters!

Plot:
“When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.”

We always thought alien life would come from the stars but it came from deep beneath the sea through a portal between dimensions in the Pacific ocean! Well never mind, mankind will still kick the hell out of those alien monsters!

Have one question: why don’t they nuke that interdimensional portal? Those giants robots look definitely great, but I doubt they’re better than a good old nuke.

The release date of Pacific Rim is set for July 12, 2013.
