We’ve got our hands on the first official trailer of Astral, the upcoming horror thriller movie directed by Chris Mul and starring Frank Dillane, Vanessa Grasse, Damson Idris, Catherine Steadman, Trevor White, and Darwin Shaw:

“Coming to terms with the explanation of his mother’s untimely death, Alex (Frank Dillane) turns to spiritual contact after the relationship with his father breaks down. As a student of metaphysics, Alex learns of the “scientific” premise of astral projection — the ability to project your spirit into an unseen spatial dimension. Attempting to astral project, Alex becomes plagued by shadow spirits — malevolent entities vying to enter his body to access our world. Alex soon learns that he is not the only member of his family to have been besieged by such beings, as his mother’s dark past is brought to his attention.”

The astral world isn’t for the living… Stay away from it for you don’t know what may tag along when you come back… If you ever come back that is…

The release date of the movie Astral is set to November 23, 2018 (in theaters and on VOD).

A first official look at Astral, the upcoming horror thriller movie directed by Chris Mul based on a script he co-wrote with Michael Mul and starring Catherine Steadman, Frank Dillane (yep, the young chap who portrayed Nick Clark in Fear the Walking Dead), Vanessa Grasse, Trevor White, Damson Idris, Darwin Shaw, Jennifer Brooke, Mark Aiken, Ned Porteous, and Juliet Howland:

Plot synopsis:
“As a student of metaphysics, Alex (Frank Dillane) discovers the practice of astral projection and the scientific possibility of a dimension outside our own. Coming to terms with the premature death of his mother during his childhood, Alex turns to astral projection in an attempt to reconnect with her.
As his experiments escalate, Alex continues to isolate himself from those who care for him. With every trip into the unknown, Alex’s mental state declines further, as it becomes apparent that someone… or rather something has been crossing over with him.
In the tradition of It Follows and The Babadook comes an event level, elevated paranormal Thriller that
