The first official movie trailer of Dracula 3D, the upcoming vampire movie directed by Italian filmmaker Dario Argento, has shown up online:

“A retelling of Bram Stoker’s classic novel: After travelling to Transylvania under the pretense of securing a land deal with a new client, Jonathan Harker is held captive by Count Dracula in his haunted castle. He tries unsuccessfully to escape, so his wife Mina sets out for Transylvania on a fateful mission to locate her missing husband, and she is joined by the legendary vampire hunter, Abraham Van Helsing.”

Plot:
“The tale begins with Jonathan Harker, journeying by train and carriage from England to Count Dracula’s crumbling, remote castle situated in the Carpathian Mountains on the border of Transylvania. The purpose of his mission is to catalogue the big library of Dracula. At first enticed by Dracula’s gracious manner, Harker soon discovers that he has become a prisoner in the castle. He also begins to see disquieting facets of Dracula’s nocturnal life.”

With Dracula 3D, Dario Argento wants to deliver a more gothic and faithful adaptation of the novel written by Bram Stoker.
