Plot synopsis:
“A failed stand-up comedian (Joaquin Phoenix) is driven insane and becomes a psychopathic murderer.”

Besides Joaquin Phoenix, the cast also includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
The film cast:
– Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck / Joker: a failed stand-up comedian disregarded by society who is driven insane and becomes a psychotic criminal mastermind;
– Robert De Niro as a talk show host;
– Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond: A cynical single mother and Arthur’s love interest;
– Brian Tyree Henry as a nurse;
– Bill Camp as a cop in the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD);
– Frances Conroy as Penny Fleck: Arthur’s mother;
– Brett Cullen as Thomas Wayne: A billionaire philanthropist running for mayor of Gotham. Unlike the source material, he plays a role in the Joker’s origins and is less sympathetic than traditional incarnations;
– Glenn Fleshler as a comedian;
– Dante Pereira-Olson as Bruce Wayne: The young son of Thomas Wayne, who in his adulthood becomes the Joker’s archenemy Batman;
– Douglas Hodge as Alfred Pennyworth: The butler and caretaker of the Wayne family;
– Marc Maron as Ted Marco;
– Bryan Callen as a stripper;
– and Josh Pais.
The release date of the movie Joker is set to October 4, 2019.
