Plot synopsis:
“In this vibrant school-set re-working of Cyrano, an awkward but imaginative pupil (Alex Lawther) helps the handsome but spectacularly dim school-hero (Jonah Hauer-King) pursue the fiery daughter (Pauline Ătienne) of a visiting French teacher (Denis MĂ©nochet).
âSurvival of the fittestâ is the philosophy at all-boys English boarding school Caldermount. If youâre not the strong athletic type, youâre a nobody. No one knows this better than nerdy Amberson, whoâs been at the bottom of the schoolâs social ladder since he can remember.
When the French teacherâs fiery daughter Agnes arrives, Ambersonâs life is turned upside down. He suddenly finds himself playing matchmaker for Winchester, the schoolâs popular sporting hero. Winchester definitely has the looks to win Agnes over but Amberson has the wits.
Will Amberson have the courage to reveal himself to her and stand up for who he really is?”
