There’s a new trailer for People You May Know, the upcoming drama comedy movie starring Nick Thune, Halston Sage, Kaily Smith Westbrook, Ian Harding, and Usher Raymond:

“The film follows Jed, a 30-something introvert who has managed to abstain from social media until now. When prompted with the gargantuan task of defining who he is, he realizes the life he can fake is much more interesting than the life he actually leads.”

And yep, the social media girl is Halston Sage, the actress who plays the role of Lt Alara Kitan in the TV series The Orville.

That is, until he discovers that he can use his wizard-like Photoshop mastery to present his life in any way imaginable. When digital marketing manager Tasha (Halston Sage) sees an opportunity to cultivate a celebrity out of a nobody, she helps fabricate Jed’s false life via multiple online platforms.
