“The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. The Runaways is an upcoming biopic movie that retraces the story the 1970s all-girl rock band of the same name. The movie is written and directed by Floria Sigismondi. It is starring Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Stella Maeve, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Michael Shannon. The film will be released sometime in 2010.
